Two of the Caesar Miniatures WWII German Paratroopers. I got a new camera and I may have learned how to use it. These photos are a bit better images and they do the figures more justice.
The Esci grenade thrower vs the Caesar one. Note the Esci guy is holding his grenade in the middle of the stick. You hold it on the end for more leverage when you throw. Poor research, poor figures.

They're very nice looking figures (and you seem to have got the hang of your new camera). They do seem a little small compared to the Esci figures, is that the case when you hold them side-by-side?
It's all in Macro Standard and Digital Macro on a good camera.
Lighting the most important thing you can muck around on digital fots on a learning curve.
good to see what i will be buying from caeser
Hi Grumpykiwi,
The Esci are a tiny bit taller and thinner, the Caesar are a bit shorter and thicker. The difference is very slight and only in a next to one another comparison would you really notice. They should mix together just fine.
It is more a matter of sculpting style than actual size.
The big problem with the new camera is the auto focus only works up two four inches away. Closer than that and it does not work, so I have to fool with it a bit.
The Esci base is a lot thicker which doesn't hep, but is easily fixed. I just noticed the Ceaser figure's machine pistol is way over to long, almost as long as the Esci figure's rifle!
Actually the MP40 is less than 10 inches shorter than the Kar98 rifle, so in real life it is almost as long as the rifle.
Even moving the Camera subject and doing a 180 on a subject can give better results, less shadows but i am talking about Macro (zoom)
If it has Digital Macro try that but Hey bunker at 5 Inchs (12 - 13 cm for us Imperial not using Imperial)
The shots are coming up good
I will keep working on it until the pictures are as good as the figures and my readers deserve!
