Why Does It Smell Like a Wet Dog in Here?

These figures have a tiny bit of flash, and some of the bases are a bit wonky.

But a little bending and the bases can be okay.

The werewolves are very lively and animated.

I think the base on this one may even be a bit of a benefit!

I like that they include a pose on all fours.

 

There Wolf

Dark Alliance Vampires are now followed by their new set of Werewolves!

Here is the back of the Vampire box.  It is part of a new series of horror related figures.

They are 1/72nd scale and comprise a variety of different vampire types.  Most are based on movies such as the Universal Studies original Dracula, Von Helsing, and the old Nosferatu silent movie.

Now they have produced werewolves.

This is the sprue for them.  It includes to human figures.  They look a bit like people from the Von Helsing movie from a few years ago.

The werewolves are several different types.

This first type is very dog like and generally naked of human clothing.
 

A Survey of the Vampires

It is unusual to see fear on the face of a thrall.

The brides of the vampires are worried too.

They have retired to the castle keep and the vampires are guarding the walls near them.

The brides shrieks curdle the blood of the attackers.

This one can't decide to go to the keep, or exist the castle via the secret escape door in the round tower.

The round tower is guarded by the most extreme of the vampires.

Nosferatu knows they are doomed.
 

Humans Knock on the Door

All the knights and men at arms in the shire are up in arms over the vampire plague.

They have laid siege to the old castle and are trying a direct attack.

The vampires are at a bit of a loss as open warfare is not their usual technique.

The vampires and their thralls man the ramparts.

But they don't use weapons on a regular basis.

They will have to hope the men will not break down the door.

A Dracula at the Sherwood Castle Walls.

Brave knights attempt to batter in the gate.

Bowmen fire over their heads.

The Knight stands in silent contemplation as his men assault the castle.

Airfix Sherwood Castle Under New Ownership

I got a set of Vampires by Dark Alliance.

So naturally they needed a castle.

What could be better than the Airfix Sheriff of Nottingham Castle?

Nosferatu, and Dracula share the ramparts.

Wrecked Cars

As a little bonus with the Hot Wheels Monster Trucks you get a little crushed car in the package.

There are several different ones and they are all one piece plastic.

Very simple, and ironically, durable.

They come with a pin on the back and roof.

And a receptacle for the pin on the hood and the front.

The pins allow you to pose the cars in many different ways.

I take my sprue cutter and remove the pins.

Then I insert the pins into the receptacles and mostly fills the holes.  I use a bit of Plastruct glue to hold the pin in.  I then paint the cars over all rust color.  I am sure if you took a little time with them you could make decent wrecked cars for dioramas of traffic accidents, battle scenes or even auto junk yards.
 

Black 66 Batmobile Monster Truck

The Batman 66 Monster Truck in black!

It's a great car and now as a great monster truck.

Here is the silver blue regular Batman 66 Batmobile and the very similar Monster Truck version.

The paint job on the monster truck is better, I think.

Both front and rear.  The rear parachute packs should be black not red.

Top view, see no interior for the Monster Truck.  I only got one of these so I will probably leave it as is, but if I manage to get another one, I will convert it to a regular car.
