The troops attack across the open space towards the tree line.
The sergeant urges haste to get out of the open.
The lieutenant also encourages the troops to move quickly.
The machine gunner fires into the trees.
The corporal directs a grenade into the brush from the grenadier.
When resistance drops the men move forward.

Ruff Puff III
Orion 1/72nd scale plastic Ruff Puffs. BAR gunner with the big gun.
This set has a great mix of weapons but most of them are too big. This Grease Gun is oversized but looks pretty good anyway.
This M1 rifle is good but the muzzle end is wonky.
This M1 looks better and the figure is in a good pose, at the ready.
Cut the barrel down a little on the carbine and this guy would be okay I think. Nice advancing pose.
Not quite ready to fire, no cheek weld to the stock, still trying to decide if to shoot or not I think. Another long barrel carbine.
A little work on trimming the carbine barrels and you have a plausible group.

Vietnam War Era Jeeps
Known locally as the "Jeep Guys" these are Vietnam War reinactors.
They operate and maintain an excellent collection of Vietnam War era Jeeps.
They are all in driving condition. They range from gloss to flat finishes.
Most are M151 series, but some are older Jeeps.
They also show various military insignia.
Radios, flags...
And a host of uniforms, small arms, and vehicle gear...
An impressive sight seeing them all together.

ARVN Museum
Many of these models from the Museum of History of the Republic of Vietnam Armed Forces are riverine ships.
I really liked this model.
Models were clean and the displays were well lighted.
I loved these first two ships.
LST with doors open.
Tank battle miniature in 1/35th scale, new.
The aircraft models were great.
I am inspired to make a few of these myself!
Particularly some of these the US military did not use.
They fly the American and South Vietnamese flags out front.

Museum of the Republic of Vietnam Armed Forces
Recently MRS Bunkermeister and I visited the the Museum of the Republic of Vietnam Armed Forces.
A small museum, but very well done.
https://www.facebook.com/ARVNMuseum/ They have a nice Facebook page.
Nice collection of field gear.
Nice open display.
I spoke to one of the docents and he said their large collection of ships models were donated by several ARVN veterans who built them.
Most of these are American ships that were transferred to South Vietnam.
The models are excellent.
Most seem about 1/72 to 1/100 scale.
Despite being behind glass they photographed well.
Hot Wheels M113, Australian Fire Support Vehicle in HO scale.
Welcome to all those veterans of the Vietnam War who fought for freedom and democracy.
