We only get about 3 to 6 inches of snow per year, so when winter comes I get all my snow figures ready to deploy.
I rush outside and set up various figures and equipment while the snow lasts.
Sometimes it only lasts one day so I have to prioritize the photos.
These 60mm BMC Korean War US Army figures are new, so naturally they get first place.
Eight poses and each one is very good. The fit well with the old Tim Mee 60mm figures but that set up will have to wait for new snow.
Bunker Talk blog with 30,000 photos of my toy soldier collection of Roco Minitanks, Heiser Models, Fidelis Models, Airfix and Pegasus figures; and 54mm & 60mm plastic soldiers from Tim Mee, Elastowit, BMC, MPC. Fighting Positions
The American line is about 250 yards away.
An under-strength platoon is dug in, in the snow.
Each foxhole contains about a half-squad of troops.
They have a few bazookas.
But no mortars, nor heavy machine guns.
Their fortifications have no communications trenches.
They have no overhead cover.
Just seven fighting positions.
They can't be expected to hold long.

BMC Korean War US Army
BMC 60mm Korean War US Infantry.
The set includes the post WWII Super Bazooka.
The WWII era bazooka was getting obsolete even during the war.
So the Army kept making larger and larger rockets until they could make one to take on Tiger tanks and in Korea T-34 tanks.
These figures are designed for use in winter.
They are wearing mittens, overcoats, even blankets over their shoulders.
They even look cold.

BMC Korean War US Army
BMC Korean War US Army troops in the snow, 60mm.
These guys just look cold.
Many are wearing mittens.
The poses are very well done.
They are a great addition to my collection.

Elastowit, BMC and Tim Mee In Action
The scientists are analyzing the enemy.
Bazooka is deployed.
The enemy seems difficult to kill.
Firepower is slowing as the men need to reload.
Robots!
Now more aliens approach.
They pick up the pace of their firing and the robots and aliens seem hesitant to move forward.
This could be a problem Challenger, Summerlee suggested.
But the troops keep up the fire.

UFOs Land
UFOs hover and deploy a force field.
Alien monsters exit!
The Army arrives.
Troops prepare to de-buss.
The men deploy and start firing their M-1 rifles.
Two scientists observe the battle.

Let's Put On A Show
Lights, camera, action!
LOD Enterprises makes these 60mm movie studio figures.
They are resin and cost $25 direct from LOD.
You get a nice little selection of figures in the set.
I got two sets they were so good.
You get one camera, and one cameraman.
Two big studio lights, a man with his hands on his hops who can be used as your lighting technician.
A standing pointing man, who is the direct, and a woman sitting is a stool, perhaps the script girl or continuity girl. With two sets, I have one of each. Some minor trimming around the attachment point for the lights to the stand. I may glue them to a larger base for better play value, but in a static display they would be fine. These are perfect for Carl Denham and a King Kong adventure.
Here they are filming a Korean War movie, or a giant bug movie, or a giant bugs appear during the Korean War movie. Not sure yet.
