T34 Bridge Launching.

The Mir T34 has a very big engine hump on the rear upper hull.  This means the bridge launching gear mount has to be raised up a bit to clear the hump.  I used some sheet styrene to fix the problem.

T34 Bridge Launcher

A company from the old Soviet Union, called Mir, made a nice T34 tank.  I have a bunch of them but this one had the tracks destroyed and so I am using it to make a bridge launcher.

The tracks on the original had tabs on the tracks to fill these gaps, but since the original tracks are no longer usable I am having to fill in the holes.  Sheet plastic bits are doing that job.

These clamps are holding these bits together while the glue dries.

These are dollar store clamps, and they work fine for light duty work.

I have  a Permit SU-100 that is in the junk pile and so it is donating their tracks.  You can see those tracks in the upper right corner.  The holes have been filled in well enough for my purposes.

This Eastern European T54 bridge launcher will donate it's bridge and launcher stuff to make my T34 bridge launcher.  The T54 may become a mine clearance vehicle.
 

Volcano Monster

Schleich makes a nice variety of toys and models from history, real animals, and fantasy, and myth and legend.

Painted details are excellent.

Face is scary.

He stands up well.
 

The Tiki

Vietnam in the Box

The classic Tim Mee army men look great in this setting!  Primitive War!

Marx 70mm recast spacemen with the clear helmets.

Mars 1/32nd scale Special Forces, US Army, Vietnam.  This is the other forest setting.

I think it looks good for Vietnam, but of course, I have never actually been there.

On patrol, moving to contact.

 Overview.  These guys go well with the standard 60mm Tim Mee figures, who wear a 1950's style uniform.

Dinosaur Photo Box

Nice scene with a volcano in the background and river in the foreground.

I added a few dollar store dinosaurs to the scene.  On the white floor it does not look that good.

I added a bit of carpet and it improves the photo a lot.

These kinds of boxes with a photo inside are something I have done for a long time.

My dinosaur does not like the paper dinosaur.

 They give one another the side eye.

Imperial Godzilla

This is the Imperial Toys Godzilla monster from about 1965.

He is 13 inches tall.

And 14 inches long.  He has arms and legs that move but not the head, jaws, or tail, which is fine.

The paint job is pretty good for a 60 year old toy.

I want a Godzilla figure, of the 1954 Godzilla, that is comparable to this one.  Minimal articulation, and at least 24 inches tall.  Figure companies keep making more and more Godzilla figures but they are often ridiculous, have multiple parts, multiple heads, alternate hands, all of which runs up the price and provides rather limited value, in my opinion.

We need a 24 inch tall 1954 Godzilla that costs less than $250 dollars, is strong, reasonably detailed, and has good play value.  I am waiting for one that will fill the last major hole in my collection of movie monsters.

Another woman from the French Exodus set, 3D printed.

This woman would work in South American.

Italy.

Greece.

Spain.

Almost anywhere in the last 100 years or more where Western culture has been the norm.

Here they are fleeing from the Germans.

It really enhances the story when the invader, Martians, Godzilla, Germans, Russians, Americans almost anything that might make people flee.
