Tarzan and the Demons of Fire

Cheeta, Jane, and Tarzan confront the Demons of Fire!
They are streaming through the fire portal.
Cheeta locates a hidden control.
The control stops the Demons of Fire from continuing to exit the portal.
But there are still plenty to contend with.
Can Tarzan stop them?
Or will the Demons of Fire win the day?

Demons

Every alley is a demonic lane.

Every open space is covered with demons.

Reporting to Hell.

Demons plaguing soldiers.

Soldiers screaming in torment.

The horrors looming everwhere.

And the Devil overlooks it all!

Hell

Hell.

The gates of Hell guarded by demons.

Demons at every house.

Even the trees are spooky.

The Devil himself.

A dark and terrible place.

Evil monsters everywhere.

Demons

 A winged demon!

Note the small loop on the back to hang the demon from the ceiling.

This was the Human Torch.  I added a pitchfork, a tail, and the horns.

The demon commander, the Devil.

A full demon army!

 Wings, fire, and pitchforks!

Demon From Hell

A demon straight from Hell.

Yellow and red flames leap up over the tormented.

Some poor souls are fully engulfed in fire.

The flames a torment wherever they go.

A bit of model glue and a few minutes of waiting softens up the clear styrene for the foot.

A coating of super glue on the foot will help the figure stay in place.  The foot is put to the far side of the base to keep the weight of the figure centered on the base.

Demons

The first of my demon figures.  Drying the glue to the base, using a bit of clay to hold him steady.

I often mix both super glue and plastic model glue when gluing styrene and other materials.

Many Heroclix figures have a base similar to this one.  I used clear sheet styrene to make these fresh bases.  I put a drop of model glue on the styrene and let it sit for about 20 seconds before painting the super glue onto the foot of the figure.  Waiting 20 seconds lets the styrene soften.

See the red footwear.  This color is for all the clothing.

Each demon has had a tiny hold drilled into the neck area and a small metal wire with a loop in the end is inserted into the hole.

The loop allows me to hang the figure from my aircraft suspension system.  The ability to fly is why I wanted clear bases, so they would look inconspicuous in flight.

Demons

I am working on my Heroclix demons.  None of them started as demons, some were super heroes and some were super villains.  I did not strip them of the original paint.  I did prime them with a light colored grey primer.  All of them were removed from their original bases.

They were then repainted with a hull red spray paint, from Tamiya.  Once dry I painted them again  with four different gloss red colors.  One of them I used for their "clothing" and the other three were for dry brushing the "skin."  Those with "fire" on them got their fire painted yellow, with red highlights to the fire.
