German Fleet

Here are more of the World War Two era German ships.

These models are at about 70 years old.

 They are various German cruisers.

Together they make a nice little fleet.

The detail is pretty good I think for the size.

Here is a nice close up of one of them.

Here is a fleet.  I may have to get out my 1/2400 Soviet Navy and give them an adversary.

Perhaps they could attack a Murmansk convoy defended by British and Soviet ships.

 Or maybe evacuate an eastern coastal town before the Soviet land forces overrun them.

Sailing Ships

Here are the larger figures in a small diorama.  The grenadier throws a grenade as the enemy closes in.  The signals men call for more support as the mortar team tries to fire off a last few rounds.

Nice little Bf-109.  Missing one propeller.

It has markings engraved on the bottom and even the landing gear.  More, it has the little supports for the tail.

 It's a very nice sailing ship model, one piece.

The Germans made several of these ships, nearly 300 feet long.

This is another WHW token.

Many navies use sailing ships so that new junior officers can train and learn the winds, and the currents.  Nothing is better for that than a sailing ship.

The Germans built several of them and they survived World War Two.  The USA got the Horst Wessel as reparations and the US Coast Guard still uses the ship to train mid-shipmen.

Wargame

SdKfz 251 armored halftrack.

This model is likely over 70 years old, still in prefect shape.

The anti-tank gun covers the advance of the armored infantry.

100mm howitzers provide overhead fire support.

Add a few soft plastic infantry and you have a wargame!

Old 1/72nd Scale Plastic Figures

Unlike the previous items, I know this one is a WHW piece.

It's a sort of mini-diorama.

It's a heavy field howitzer with crew, all as one piece.

It would make a great wargame piece.

This is a similar item.

It's a 37mm anti-tank gun with crew.  Both this and the howitzer have the same size figures and they are about 1/72nd scale.  I like them.

Eagles

Another of the game pieces that might be WHW items.

It's a great eagle, it certainly looks like it is from the 1930s, and could be either German or even American in style.

I think it's way cool, myself.

The black one looks like it should be the GI Joe Maltese Falcon.

Same markings as before.

Looks almost like chess pieces.

An officer points towards the enemy as the last of the Volkssturm marches off to defend the crumbling Reich.
