Planes

These little planes are once again available in stores.

I have been buying them and repainting them as Bf-109 miniature planes for WWII Stargate use for some time now.

This color scheme is pretty nice with Batgirl.

Still, it is probably going to be repainted.

Bee Gee Racer Fighter

A while back I saw a website with a GEE BEE Racer reconfigured as a fighter plane.

Of course the cape had to go, so I cut it off.

It looks a bit like the I-15, a short, stubby Russian plane from the early WWII era.

Here are a group of Airfix USAAF men working on the plane.

The Gee Bee was short range, but very fast and very maneuverable.

I think it would work very well for a point defense fighter.

No armor as a racer, but perhaps a bit as a fighter.

You can see the size, the engine is massive.

Planes

This is, obviously, a Hot Wheels airplane.

I got a couple of them.

This is from the Disney movie Planes.

It is a toy from Target.

It's a Gee Bee racer.

It measures a perfect 1/72nd scale in wingspan and is a tiny bit long, not counting the cape.
