Eye Monsters

The Trollenberg Terror is an interesting old movie that has a crawling eye as the main monster.

The movie The Atomic Submarine is another giant eye creature.  At Halloween time these bags of eyeballs in several colors were sold in a few different stores.

They are essentially ping pong balls with an eye and red veins printed on it.  But I wanted more, so I painted the back of the ball in Tamiya orange paint.

The eyes were set into a small glass, lined with aluminum foil to hold the eye in place and provide a ragged edge to the eye.

The glass cup, it used to have a candle in it and when the candle was used up, I cleaned up the glass and use it for hobby purposes.

Push the eye down so it does not jump out when spray painted.

I was able to use the same foil for a test run and then for mass production.
