From some angles Professor Challenger looks more like Dr. Zais.  Certainly a learned scientist in any respect.

Summerlee is peering through his magnifying glass at the grass.  The man is fascinated by everything.

Roxton seems always alert.

Always ready, for, something to happen.

Something.....
 

Professor Challenger in the Tall Grass

On safari towards the village.

Rather than go straight to the village Professor Challenger wanted to scout out the area first.

So everyone is deep in the wildernsess

Who knows what dangers may lurk in the grass?

With only four guns the party can't stand up to much danger.

And Sumerrlee can't be much help in an emergency.

But the journey continues.
 

The Lost World Review

A new company located in Ukraine has started making 1/32 scale 54mm size figures.

They are very flexible, sort of rubbery figures.

This set is based on the Sir Arthur Conan Doyle story The Lost World.

A pair of scientists, a big game hunter and a newsman visit a jungle and look for dinosaurs.

Professor Challenger with the beard, Mr. Malone the newsman, Professor Summerlee, the other scientist who does not believe Challengers claim of dinosaurs.

Nice details and very good weapons.  These figures are generic enough to work for the last 150 years.

The man on the end is Lord Roxton the big game hunter and adventurer.

The figures are sold in a set and the series has several other figures besides these.

And you can get the figures in several different colors.  They are all limited edition, but customer service is great and it is nice to have something so unique.

The Lost World

Professor Challenger and his party are lost in the forest.

Professor Summerlee wandered off and in their attempts to find him, they got lost themselves.

Lord Roxton is unperturbed, he has been lost in the wilderness many times, but always finds his way back.

Ed Malone, the correspondent, is just worried about getting his story back to the newspaper.

But Professor George Edward Challenger is worried about nothing except finding those dinosaurs and proving to every he is not a crank, or a liar, and that he did see them on his previous expedition.

Looks like one of the dinosaurs may have found him!

"Professor Challenger," Professor Summerlee asked, "what's that noise behind us?"

These are the new ElastoWit figures in 54mm.  I ordered them in April and after a series of adventures, they arrived yesterday.  I am so excited.  A full review of these and a few other sets that I got will get posted over the next few days.  Short version, I like them!  I like them a lot.

The next group of photos should be better as the light was dimming the auto focus was giving me problems, and the grass is too tall!  But I wanted to get these out there as soon as I could.

Aztecs

I like to be able to use my Army Men in as many different ways as possible.  Here are the Aztec figures made by Revell.

This model, by Safari, is the Quetzalcoatlus Pterosaur, they were alive during the time of the dinosaurs, 65 million years ago.

Perhaps we can use the Aztecs to fight ancient animals such as the Quetzalcoatlus?

It's much harder to fight giant monsters with pointy sticks and stone weapons than with rifles and hand grenades.

That gives another use for the Aztecs.  Perhaps even use them as a lost tribe with lost animals in a 19th or 20th Century venue.

Lights, Camera, Action!

Gotta have a priest in case there are heathens in need to saving.

And to provide guidance for the team, don't want any lost souls in the Lost World.
