Giant grasshoppers from Dollar General.

At only a buck each I was able to build up a bug army!

Humans from the Humans and Aliens set.

Facing off against giant grasshoppers.

A rolling pin can be dangerous!

The End

The grasshoppers kill and devour four men...

And more grasshoppers take their place.

And they just keep coming.

Guns don't seem to stop them.

The rest of the squad makes it into the trucks and they start to drive away.

The grasshoppers pursue for a short distance and then give up.

The original movie was in black and white.  The attack begins!

The troops pull back.

The truck drives away the grasshoppers fall behind.

The Encounter

Colonel these grasshoppers are real.

There it is!

Commence firing!

Pow!  Pow!  Pow!

We are not stopping them.  Blam!  Blam!  Blam!

Keep firing!

Pull back!

Searching

The Colonel, the Scientist, and the troops enter the woods looking for giant grasshoppers.

You know, grasshoppers are good eating...

I ate them once down in Mexico.
