Ape Troops and Wagon

These are not just good ape poses, but are good soldier poses. 

These figure sets are limited production.

And so when they come out you have to buy them right away.

They often sell out pretty quick.

So far I have never known them to re-issue any subject, but you never know what may happen.

I wish I could have afforded 250 of them.

They would have been great opponents against my army men, and giant ants, or spiders.

Who knows what terrors lurk in the forbidden zone?

They also make the prison wagon.

It is laser cut MDF.  I have seen photos of it built up and it's nice.  It's on the to do list.
 

Apes with Guns

More Elastowit figures.

I love the Apes figures.

They come in black and dark brown.

I choose the black.

They are about 54 / 60 mm size.

How large is a gorilla with a submachine gun?

This is the flag bearer figure.
 

POTA XTC-3D

Elastowit in Ukraine makes various science fiction figures.

I managed to pick up a few of them recently.

They came with these horses which I am not sure are made by them, but are included in their sets.

This is a regular plastic cast horse.

I don't have the saddle on right, but I wanted to you see the horse.

Nice and smooth.

Excellent model.

But look at this horse pose, these are 3d printed horse.  The one on the right is untreated.

Here is a close up of the striations, or ridges on the 3d printed horse.  Not a bad looking horse model, but not optimal.

Here is the same horse figure with a new coating on it.

The coating is made by Smooth-On to smooth out the striations on a 3d printed model.

It got it by mail from the manufacturer.

Mix parts A and B and brush it on.

It is kind of think and there is a bit of a learning curve but this is my first use of it and I am pretty happy with the result.
 

Bunnies

There are only four poses in the set.

Here is an Elastowit 54mm Professor Challenger figure confronting the rabbits.

Joined by an MPC ring hands modern army figure.  This is a sort of proof of concept set up to get an idea about how menacing the rabbits seem with different figures.  Being surrounded by this many bunnies might be a bit unnerving at this scale but depending on their demeanor it might actually be fun.

With 1/73nd scale British Infantry from the Colonial era they are much more imposing.

They are the size of a large polar bear.

Might take more than a few rifle shots to bring down one of these guys.

Chard, they are not after the Mission Station, they are after the mealie in the bags!
 

Victory!

The Phantom demands the Aliens surrender immediately.

The Aliens are surrounded.

They have no choice and surrender.

The Heroes return to their spaceship.

The two halves are quickly re-assembled.

The Heroes blast off in their spaceship.

The Aliens are left behind on this deserted world, with a rocket ship that is out of fuel, and destroyed.  They have no hope of rescue and so begin a life sentence alone on desolate place.
 

Outflanked

The two rocket belt men switch to horizontal flight!

And outflank the Aliens!

The Aliens are now both outflanked and outnumbered.

Switching again to vertical flight the rocket belt men prepare to land.

Now on the ground their allies close in from the other direction.

The Aliens realizing they have been outflanked and out numbered ask for a parlay.

The Heroes demand the immediate surrender of the Aliens.
