Batman Vehicles

Batmobile from the TV series Batman.  They only used one vehicle in the TV show but it was modified a few times.  At the first it was painted flat black.  Over time they added a cutter to the front of the car.  And they also changed up the pin striping color and locations.  Hot Wheels has made dozens of variations of this vehicle, in a couple sizes.  All the 1/64th scale versions will interchange the interior, wheels, body, and window glass.  They are easy to take apart and easy to put back together if you want to swap parts.  This one was taken apart and given a different body version.
Stately Wayne Manor from Funko Pop Town series of buildings.
Jada Batcycle, one of two versions.  The first was a Harley-Davidson motorcycle with sidecar.  This one is a Yamaha with sidecar that carries a dismountable go cart.
Batboat was made about the same time as the Batmobile and there was no real coordination between the car and boat makers. So the boat came out blue and white while the car is black.  Model by Hot Wheels.
The last TV show vehicle is the Batcopter.  It is a real flying helicopter modified with a special paint job and bat wings.  The helicopter still exists and still flies.  The FAA made them take the wings off however, because it reduced lift too much.  Still pretty cool that it still exists.  This is by Hot Wheels and can be modified to a large number of other versions, mostly by removing the wings, which is simple, and repainting.

Joker Mobile and Batmobile

Jada makes this set that at first glance seems too small for my 1/72nd scale figures.
It is true they are tiny.
But they are nicely detailed.
My intention is to try and find a Hot Wheels car that  looks at least a little like the Joker Mobile and see if I can cobble one together, using this one as a guide.
These two cars will end up in my Batcave Batmuseum as display vehicles.

Of course the Batcycle is another matter entirely.

Batmobiles

Hot Wheels makes the Batmobile from the Batman TV show, in many different color variations.
The vast majority of them have the same parts, but some have nicer wheels; rubber with threads, and these typically cost a little more.
I often buy multiples of them at Wal-Mart and then disassemble them, and strip the paint off of them.
This one has had that work done.
Now I have a bench buffer and this Batmobile has been shined up.
The bottom.
I am trying to make the surface nice and smooth so that when I repaint them the paint will lay down on a smooth surface.
You can see how much nicer one the top one is after being buffed.
I have several uses for these, and I am not certain what specific paint jobs these will get.

Several Things

James Bond fights a dangerous enemy over the bonnet of his high performance sports car.
Using paint remover to strip paint.  I put the paint remover into an old glass jar and then dunk die cast models into it so they can soak the paint off.  It allows me to reuse the paint remover.  Note also the toothbrush, and the plastic tray.
Paint remover in the jar.
Hobby Lobby pickup trucks that have been soaking in the paint remover.  They previously had the Christmas tree removed.
I used these brushes to remove the paint and glitter.
Water in a catsup bottle to rinse off the paint remover.
Painting surface after primer was sprayed on a Batmobile body.

Retro-Batmobile in Gold

Another one of the vast number of Batmobiles added to the collection.
I have no idea what show it is from.
I have a couple of these in other color schemes.
I like the very retro bat face on the front end.  I may cut it out, or cast it other otherwise make use of it on another car.
I also like the color scheme, but the tiny Hot Wheels emblem reminds me of a line from Jurassic Park.  Just because you can, does not mean you should.
I think this car needs a little touch up here and there, maybe pinstripes.
Still a nice looking car.
An odd shape when seem from below.
But rather bad ass from the front side.  I gotta make a more retro-Batman to go with it.

Batmobiles

I think this Batmobile is from Batman The Animated Series.
Here it is in purple.  I may use this for BatWoman.
And a red one that may get used for Robin.
Of course, the best Batmobile is this one.
These look pretty good together, that long lean one would work well for the 1930s Batman.
Hard to find a good parking space at Stately Wayne Manor.

What Were They Thinking Batmobile

While the package claims this is the Classic TV Series Batmobile, I would submit they are in error.
I don't know who thought this was a good idea, but not I.
It's like the urban electric car version of the Batmobile.  I got a couple in blue and a couple in black because I know that if I did not buy any I would find a reason to get 27 of them.  A waste of plastic and metal in my humble opinion.  If you can think of a use for these little things, leave a comment below.

Batman and Robin Arrive at Gotham City Police Headquarters in the Batmobile Frequently

Batman and Robin arrive at Gotham City Police Headquarters in the Batmobile in this rather futuristic version.

Batman and Robin arrive at Gotham City Police Headquarters in the Batmobile in a rather standard version but with different wheels.

Batman and Robin arrive at Gotham City Police Headquarters in the Batmobile in a flat black with smoky windshield low visibility version.
Batman and Robin arrive at Gotham City Police Headquarters in the Batmobile in the flashy pin-stripe version.  All of these cars are Batmobiles by Hot Wheels.  A few of them have been repainted or had other changes made from the stock version of the car.  Sometimes I simply disassemble the car and swap out the interior or the windshield for a different color combination.
