Cannon Crew

A black powder gun this big would be loud.
So cover your ears.
Leaning on the sponge and holding a telescope.
Very good poses, I think.
These rounds are heavy.
Standing back and pull the lanyard.
Set up to fire.
Seven man crew is pretty good.

Cannon Views

The gun goes together very easily.
The barrel is solid and would benefit from being drilled out.  I may do that later.
The plastic cross piece that holds the barrel on is too weak and I replaced it with wire.  A paper clip bit would do.
I used a pair of pliers to push it through the barrel.
Bottom view.

Parrott Gun

Strelets 1/72nd scale plastic 30 pound Parrott Rifle with Union Crew.
You get three crews and three guns.
No flash and it's all in good condition.
Gun goes together really easily.
And looks great when it is finished.

Panzer IV Tank in Resin

https://fidelismodels.com/collections/87th-scale-artitec-main

Artitec resin model Panzer IV that I got from Fidelis Models.

Note the detail on the turret front.  One piece, wonderful.
Tracks, hull, and turret are three separate pieces.
It's just test fit, no sanding or gluing yet.
Other resin bits on the sprue.
These parts need to be carefully removed but look great when done.
They came in a little bag like this one.

Panzer IV

Artitec makes this nice 1/87 scale Panzzer IV Ausf. F1/F2 model.
It's a resin kit.
https://fidelismodels.com/collections/87th-scale-artitec-main

I got the model from my friend Randy at Fidelis Models.

The instructions are simple but plenty good enough.
The main gun and small decal sheet.
Flipped over.  No flash, excellent resin model.

Cut the Base

Sometimes I do science.  I tested each of these three glues.
Which one works best with this plastic.
Here is a pair of scrap pieces of that plastic glued together with Tamiya.
Two pieces with Plastruct glue.
Finally two pieces with the Testors glue.
The key is to cut around the signage.
It's a complex shape to form.
I am using this Odemars figure on for size.  He should be below the bottom of the signage.

Here is an initial cut of the plastic.

Space Mountain Plan

This attraction is actually an indoor roller coaster ride.  It's filled with lights and distractions to simulate space travel.
The bottom data plate.
Because the signage is a bit low, I decided to make the building a little taller.
The plan is to cut sheet plastic and glue it to the bottom of the buildings.

I will use a few sheets of this very thick 3.2mm plastic sheet from Evergreen Scale Models.

Space Mountain

Mickey and the Space Mountain from Funko Pops
Here James Bond is visiting the amusement park.  Note he is taller than the entrance way.
The building is made of very thick and durable plastic.
The real attraction is much more complicated than this but the model captures the essential elements of the building.
The large Space Mountain signage is really cool.
