In the movie Killers From Space, the main character is shown the aliens plans for conquest of the Earth. They are growing giant insects and intend to release them on humanity. Our hero is shown many cages of different kinds of giant insects, and a few reptiles. So I got this set to do that as a set up. Here are giant ants, can't have too many giant ants.Giant crickets, which can attack people in their small size version.Frogs.The giant mantis is a nice touch, you don't get those in miniature much. They have then here in Kentucky and I see one now and then. They are very cool.Tarantula, and he stands on his feet. You can see his little body is off the floor.

Reptiles and Bugs
1/72nd scale figure with three horned toads.
I got this set at Dollar Tree, actually I got three of them. The set is called Reptiles and includes a lot of bugs and very few actual reptiles. In theory you get one of each critter in both red and black plastic.I practice you get what's in the bag and like it.Note the scorpion is standing on his legs, many bug toys just lay on their tummy with their legs straight out, but these stand up pretty well, mostly. The underside of some it detailed, but not all of them. 1/72nd scale figure for size.Saturday, December 21, 2019
Bugs, Not the Bunny
No one seemed to know where the giant bugs came from.
Some thought they were from outer space, maybe the Moon, or Mars.
Others thought they were newly evolved, or perhaps thawed out in the Arctic and then came south.
Others said they were demons and could not be killed. Certainly the few times civilians and local forces tried to defend against them the result was annihilation, of the humans.
But in 1938 the US Army has new weapons of unprecedented power and now they are able to bring these massive guns into position to finally deal a death blow to these oversize roaches!

Bug vs Firepower
More troops arrive.
More firepower is brought to bear.
The bugs here are large and take a lot of killing.
The dual mortar arrives.
The greater firepower is helpful.
The bug is brought low.

A Bug Planet
It's a bug planet.
Nothing moving but bugs.
Even the plants have thorns and are inhospitable.
A truck on patrol encounters a bug.
Men in the back open fire.
They dismount as the bug approaches.
More troops arrive.
More troops engage the bugs.

Robots vs Bugs
The horse monsters of Celeste 12 put up a great fight.
There were fast and had razor sharp leg talons.
And despite their alliance with the ape people, they were destroyed.
The robot civilization of star system 1101 used robots and advanced technology.
Their controllers fought the robots in close combat.
Their robots were nearly indestructible.
But nearly is not completely and they were destroyed by the bugs.

The Bugs Attack
The bugs have conquered many worlds.
But not every conquest was easy.
Some of the most intelligent races were able to resist for a time.
But the result was always the same, resistance was futile.
But the most advanced and the most primitive tried resistance.

Bugs Versus Aliens
The arachnid menace.
Humans are attacked by the bugs.
And in most cases, the humans don't do well.
But the crafty bugs have landed on other worlds.
And the ever hungry arachnids will eat other forms of life also.
Chasing them down.
And then chowing down on them.
