Space Ship in 54 / 60 mm

I used to work security at an office building that was moving to a new location out of state.  On the last day the president of the office said anything left in the building you can have, we are just going to have to pay to have it hauled away.  So I got all these translucent boxes.

I had no idea what I was going to do with them.  So I stacked them up and made a space ship out of them.  It's just temporary, I change it up all the time.

A local restaurant was selling 54mm size rock 'em, sock 'em robots.  So I got some.

The dollar store was selling Buzz Lightyear so I got some, repainted them and put an MPC ring hand figure head on him.

Johnny Lightning made a Lost in Space Robot B-9.  I got a couple.

SDS made a set of robots, Tim Mee made army men and the Galaxy Laser Team in green.

Elastowit made explorers and they are very cool.

Robbie the Robot was made very briefly and I managed to pick up a few.  Galaxy Laser Team robot in the corner.

I used the opening from wet tissue dispensers as the hatches.  Elastowit Earth vs the Flying Saucers in the background.

I printed out various computer and submarine pictures and lined some of the rooms with them.

The lower left corner computer was printed out and pasted to a bit of cardboard to stiffen it.

Kinda cool, and apart from the figures I have amassed over 60 years, free.
 

Robots and Powered Armor

Robots, and troops in powered armor.

They confront a scientist.  He is wearing a white lab coat, that's how we know he does science.

They overlook the man with his arms crossed.

Robby and B9 stand by, unsure how to proceed.

B9-2 may have an opening.

He gets into position.

Steady....

 The powered armor is on the verge of getting hit with a lighting bolt!

Figures are Robot B9 from Johnny Lighting Lost in Space series.  Robbie and the other silver figures are from This Island Earth, short run of figures 20+ years ago.  Power Armor figures are MPC heads that I swapped because their bodies had become brittle.  The brittle heads seem to hold up okay, I removed the head of the previous occupant and sent it to infinity and beyond.

Lost in Space Figures

The orange figure has been shortened just a little bit.

The figure base was cut away to make the computer monitor a separate piece.  The removed leg bits are here on the side.

Left to right, Penny, Maureen, and Judy Robinson.  Even with 1/4 inch removed the Judy is still the tallest of the three figures.

Lost in Space

A friend of mine gave me the Lost in Space set with the Robinson Family and the Cyclops.

Rather than make it as the instructions, I mounted the Cyclops on a sheet of styrene, and also the Robinson's.  I filled the holes in the base with filler and cut off the Lost in Space letters on the giant rock.

This is the Robot B9.  The model did not come with the robot, or with Judy Robinson.

I got this figure in the Tim Mee Galaxy Laser Team set.

I am going to modify the orange version to make Judy a little shorter than the original.
 

Space Shuttle

It's actually a real thing.

It is being built to fly stuff to and from the space station.

 It's like a miniature space shuttle.

Pretty cool vehicle I think.

Has some nifty wheels on the bottom.

 We landed after the initial alien attack.

 We stayed in our spacesuits and our environmental control robot computed the air, water, and soil.

It seemed like the whole city was aflame.

Time Travel

The time shaman.

People from the future.

People from the time of The People.

A girl and a mechanical person from the future.

Two people who travel in time and two of The People.

They confer with two others who travel in time.

The People are being chased.

Chased by soldiers.
 

The People are chased away.

The Time Shaman speaks to those who travel in time before they have to leave again.
