Bison

The humans are on a hunting party.

Hunting for bison steak.

Those long horns are impressive.

And dangerous.

Still, mama has the fire going...

So grab your pointy sticks men, and let's go get dinner.

Bison

Bison Latafrans, the ancient ruler of the North American plains.

These were mighty, giant, buffalo with the horns of long horn steers.

Only one creature is powerful enough to challenge these animals.

Danger ahead!  The herd slows.

Toobs

Over the years I have been stocking up on monsters from Matchbox and finally the Toobs cryptids.

I have enough of them to have a variety of scenarios.

One of my favorite Johnny Quest episodes had the Yeti in it.

These various creatures are durable, come painted already, and will be great for wargaming.

He is really big, so he will end up with GI Joe I think.

This is the Matchbox Yeti.

Here it is with the Toobs Yeti.

This is a Matchbox bear that I use for a Bigfoot.

With a 1/72nd scale figure for size.

Probably a bit large, but how large is a Yeti?

Cryptids

Toobs now makes a Cryptozoology  set.  

 Coelacanth with Tarzan from the Airfix / HaT Tarzan set.

Coelacanth were found off the coast of Africa so why not a Tarzan?

Lock Ness Monster from Scotland.

Tarzan, Lord Greystoke did travel to the UK.

Army Men

These are the Safari Toobs Army Men.

They are 60mm figures, note the pink pistol in the hand on the one on the right.

Several of them come in little plastic covers.

It keeps the guns from getting bent.

It's an interesting idea.

I don't think I will keep them.

Cambian Life

This thing looks like it could be a massive organic tank.

These organic forms could be alien plants.

They come in these bright colors.

These leach like things are very scary.  In real life most of this stuff is very tiny.  A couple inches long.

This scary thing had the eyes unpainted.

I decided to paint them dark metallic blue.

1/72nd scale Japanese WWII soldiers don't seem to appreciate the improvement in the eyes.
