Modern Amazons

Dark Alliance 1/72nd scale Modern Amazons.
They are modern in the sense that they are depicted as they might be in a 21st Century video game or movie rather than in an ancient mosaic or clay jar.
They seem to have rather generic armor and clothing, and the weapons seem oversized for the figures.
They all have the same size base, which is a problem for the figures with a big ax, they fall over easily.
All of them had some flash and it took a while to whittle it all off.
I used a fresh blade about every three or four figures.  Used blades go into the used blades box where they are utilized to cut things like resin or soft metal which really kills a blade.
Not a bad set, plenty of variety from axes, swords, polearms and a bow.

Foot Amazons

Dark Alliance Amazons set 1.
1/72nd scale plastic figures.
Nicely sculpted, no flash.
They stand up well.
Wonder Woman was from Paradise Island and was one of these women.

These will be part of my super heroes project.

Wonder Woman becomes Batgirl

At Dollar Tree recently and found 5 60mm size super heroes.  This is Wonder Woman.

My plan was to convert her into Batgirl.  Here she is with the skirt trimmed off, the boots trimmed down and the gauntlets trimmed back.  Holes drilled in the sides of the neck for the cape to stick into.

Batman will donate his cape to the lady.

Here is the figure with a test fit of the cape from the Batman figure below.

He looks really weird without the cape. Batman is also going to supply the cowl and the top of his head.

The two side by side so far.

Back of figure with cape glued on and primer paint on the back.

Front of the figure before the primer with cowl, and utility belt boxes installed.  Cape is greatly cut down from the long Batman cape.  Utility belt boxes are bits of left over cape.

Wonder Woman and Americans

Wonder Woman swoops her invisible plane near the mountain peak.

She lands and attacks the Japanese from behind.

While thus distracted American troops attack the Japanese from the front.

They close with Thompson submachine gun, grenades, and shotgun.

The BAR gunner slams those big projectiles home!

The Japanese are overwhelmed.

And the Americans and Wonder Woman carry the field.

Japanese vs Superheroes

The Japanese try to bring their anti-tank gun to bear on Captain America and The Punisher!

The super heroes are just to fast for the Japanese.

There is another gun on the mountain top.

They know something is there because they can hear it!

But they can't see anything.

Wonder Woman Jet

Wonder Woman in her invisible jet.

It's a great model.

It comes fully assembled and is only $20.

Since it is a Christmas decoration it has a little hook on the top.

The hook is on the perfect balance point for the jet to fly flat, straight, and level.

It's not a very large jet, and works perfectly with 1/72nd scale figures.

Here Wonder Woman has responded to the scene of a disaster.
