Dog Toy? Who Sez?

While at Tractor Supply shopping for dog treats I found this dog toy.

It was $10 plus tax and a very nice item.

The disclaimer on the back of the package says that this item is for pet use only.  It is not a child's toy.

However, in my opinion it is too good to give to the canine buddy, it's an awesome retro robot.

It is perfect for science fiction wargames from the 1920s to the late 1960s in my opinion.

Here is the robot with two scientists who were instrumental in it's development.

At least that is the plot of the B science fiction movie they are filming.

I think it works well with 60mm figures, it is big enough to be intimidating but not so large as to take up a lot of space.

Downtown in the Retro Future

Large cars are common.

Robots are everywhere.

These mechanical servants of man do most of the major labor.

Freeing man up for more important, intellectual, spiritual, and interpersonal pursuits.

Their smiling faces greeting visitors as they come and go.

Keeping us safe, guarding our homes.

Enhancing our lives in many ways.
 

Submarine and Stuff

Futuristic car, I got a few of these in metal and in resin.  I am painting them up as retro-futureistic cars for science fiction games.  This one is chrome silver.  Others will likely be in more 1950s tones.

WWII German mini-submarine in HO scale resin.  Pretty easy to build, I replaced the periscope with wire since I broke them off in about two minutes of handling.

Started the primer painting process.  Base in on the bottom of the photo.  ATGs in the back are HaT Pak 40 German WWII guns.

Heiser Models resin dragons teeth glued down on a sheet of thick plastic.  I got these about 20 years ago, I have been meaning to get to them.

I primer painted the bottom and now have to do the top part.  Maybe tomorrow.  Maybe another 20 years will pass....
