This is another Barbie Land playset. These are a little bit like the Polly Pocket playsets, only Barbie is bigger.I am building an amusement park, based loosely on Disneyland, in California. They have these popcorn carts in the park and they little puppet show theater is also like some of the things they have too.The movie camera on the roof is very cool and it may get cut off and used as an actual camera on a tripod. These items are about a heroic 32mm size, and my collection is 1/72nd scale, mostly. Still I think these can be adapted to my scale.

Carriages
I got these Christmas ornaments at the Dollar General store, for a dollar. They are one piece resin, covered in glitter. I hate glitter, it gets everywhere.I used Simple Green, it did not take off the glitter and so now it is soaking in Kleen Strip Green Paint and Varnish Remover. I have done the gold one a couple runs and it still has glitter in the tight spaces. One more run and it should be fine, but it has been too cold for that. Maybe next week. It is coming off okay but I like very single square of glitter off before I repaint them. It's a big carriage, really probably 1/48th scale. But my plan is to use it for a Disneyland Main Street parade with Eagle Games horses, so it should be fine for that purpose. The second one will end up in Oz, not sure who will tow it. Maybe mammoths or giraffes or something odd.

Alice Mobile
I used to live very close to Disneyland. This is a Alice in Wonderland car.Hot Wheels often partners with other companies to make cars that represent that brand. Here is the legal stuff.I think this is both a great looking car...And an excellent representation of Alice in Wonderland.I am gradually building a Disneyland, based on the real thing in Anaheim, California...But also on my memories of what it was like in olden times. I am also including certain elements that were not actually there in real life.To make my Disneyland have more play value for miniature games.Disneyland used to have a parade a couple times a day and this is the sort of thing you might see in the parade. So it seemed a good car to pick up.Shown here with a 1/72nd scale plastic figure. With a shirt that matches the car.

Alice and Her House
A new Disney Doorables set.
I got four of them a while back but now there seems to be a few more of them.
I think they are based on some cartoon I never saw and likely never will watch.
As part of my American Cities Project I am building Disneyland, I used to live right down the street from there and it was always fun to go there before they started allowing men with moustashes to dress as princesses.
So the Doorables are going to be use as part of my Toontown section.
My Disneyland is not representative of any specific year, as I have mixed and matched rides and attractions to fit what I like and what is available as models.
Disneyland has people dress up as characters and walk around the park and I will use this figure as one of them. The are often just like this a caricature of a real person.
Here Alice is with two 1/72nd scale figures, a pretty good size. She and the other Doorable figures will likely also participate in my James Bond Junkanoo parade also.
The cardboard background is pretty good to, so I saved it.
Not sure how I will deploy the background but it was too good to toss out.
It might get used just like it was in the package as background for this figure and building.

Little Car
A new Matchbox car, it's a Citroen.
A little commuter car like a smart car.
Front and rear are about the same.
While that's cute it seem to me to be dangerous because it is not obvious which way the car is moving based on the shape of the vehicle.
Still, it's cute.
I plan on using it as a vehicle for my James Bond villain secret lair transportation.
I am thinking of putting it on railroad track, it fits perfectly on HO track as is.
It may also end up as the people mover in my Disneyland.
For that I may need to cut out the windows, but we will see how hard or easy that is to do.
Probably link them together with bits of wire to form a short four car train.
Shown here with some generic people.

Mickey
My second Disney beach building from Dollar General. I have been getting beach related buildings from Dollar Tree the last couple years and they will fit in well together.
This set was the better of the two by far.
Mickey in his hang loose pose.
He will likely end up as a statue in Disneyland.
Back is blank on this building too, I am thinking of placing the two buildings back to back as a boys and girls changing rooms for the beach.

Minnie
Mister Dollar had a general store and now it's the Dollar General chain of stores all over the Southern USA. It's a general store and they sell a little bit of everything. Three different of these things were on sale for buy one get one free so I picked up an Minnie Mouse and Mickey Mouse version.
Since Minnie is in a yoga pose and yoga is an Eastern religion, she got tossed in the trash, along with the rather large lawn chair.
As part of my program to build a number of cities I am building Disneyland, mostly from the 1950s but with a few of the modern elements. I am also doing "beach" and surfing as part of the American cities. In addition to that there is a Batman episode, where The Joker tries to take over the surfers and he and Batman have it out on the beach, so these little beach themed buildings will come in handy.
Lazy or cheap? The backside is plain. Not sure if I will add doors or so something else.
It comes with this little poorly painted sign, I think I will make it an advertisement for for beverages or ice cream in Disneyland. While I hate what Disney has become I used to live only a few miles away and had annual passes and everything, my wife even went there on opening day. So I honor it for what it was under Walt Disney, not what it has become.
