Draisine

Hauler Draisine in HO 1/87th scale.

The Germans had to patrol vast amounts of rail lines to prevent sabotage.

Small self-propelled vehicles like this were used to guard them.

Operating alone or in small trains these armored vehicles were very tough opponents to small groups of infantry.

Some had tank turrets and others carried machine guns and big radios.

This excellent resin model has metal wheels and works great on HO model train tracks.

Radar

I am building a Freya-LZ German WWII Radar from Hauler. HLR 87052.

It is a delicate and highly detailed model. Somehow one of the PE parts was missing. I contacted the retailer, my friend Randy from Fidelis Models and Jan Sobotka from Hauler.

The result was that within a few days I got a new little bit from Jan all the way from Europe. Great customer service.

Now that the bits are all here I am going to resume construction soon.

This radar will provide early warning for my Flak Tower.
