Wagon Construction

Here is a simple wagon.  A useful box wagon good for the US from the AWI to even modern times.  Made of interlocking bricks, lego types, wheels from Imex Conestoga Wagons set, wire mesh for the traces, Eagle Games horse, Evergreen Scale Models shapes and sheet plastics, and a generic civilian 1/75th scale figure.

I used these glues to construct the wagon and a tube of Goo rubber contact cement to hold the wagon and horse to the base.

The base is black plastic by Evergreen, that I have sanded the top to give it some texture and make it better to glue onto.

Similar interlocking brick type vehicles under construction.

I am making a number of wagons and horseless carriages for several project.  Dollar Tree and Constructive Playthings have had the bricks for sale for a while now and I spent a little time gathering them up.
 

Vans and Painting

The weather has been warm and so I am painting a lot of stuff that has been waiting in the line to be painted

This is the paint I use for high gloss black, Rust-Oleum 2X High Gloss Black.  It is great.

I have been painting some of my Ford Woodies at least partially black.

This wagon includes Evergreen sheet plastic, Imex wagon wheels, wire, Eagle Games horse, and lego type bricks.

Looks pretty good when painted with primer.  This is a police paddy wagon van, but it could be any number of civilian vans, ambulance, delivery, photography van.
 

M2 Tanks

1938 and the US Army is between two worlds.

The modern world of mechanization.

And the ancient world of horsepower.

One will pass the other very soon.

New tanks but old supply wagons.

Tanks sit near the beach waiting for fuel.

Fuel carried in wagons.

Drawn by horses.
 

Tanks Versus Bees

The infantry escort the tank as they advance on the bee stronghold.

The infantry have brought a flamethrower but it is saved for the hive.

The sickening squish of the bees under the tank crews was unnerving.

But the troops were glad the tank was with them.

 The bees were unable to penetrate it's thick armor with their stingers.

The Capitol Flying Saucer

Flying saucer spotted over the Capitol Buliding.

Keep firing the sonic ray!

The beam is working!

There is another one over there.

It's a desperate battle.

 But these brave scientists and soldiers have saved us!

Skrulls Attack A Small Town USA

It's 1956 and the Skrulls have landed a small reconnaissance party in a small town in the Midwest.

A local National Guard unit was drill and quickly loaded up with ammo and responded, after a quick call to the Governor.

They caught the Skrulls just as they entered the town square.

The Skrulls always thought they were good troops, but mostly because their enemies were such poor opponents.

The American tank / infantry team on their own home ground is almost unbeatable.

These troops are not just fighting for planet Earth, they are fighting for their own home town.

A Hit

Many Americans were down as the NORK tanks pass through.

But not every Commie tank made it.

And not every American was out of the fight.

Individual troops continued to fight or pull back in small groups and pairs.

This bazooka team fired rocket after rocket but to little effect.

A hit!
 

T-34 Tanks Break Through

A recoilless rifle fires at point blank range.

The bazooka fires.

The flamethrower man was killed in this heroic attack.

Several tanks break through, even the burning tank made it.
