Them!

The troops move in on the ant nest.

The queens and drones are subjected to a withering fire.

Some try to escape the storm drain.

They scurry along the drain.

But troops block their way.

The ants die in the drain.

Final shots are fired.

The last of them are mopped up.

One of my favorite movies, ever.  I used toy ants and added wings from a Heroclix figure.  The wings were drilled in place with the hole going down into the ant body.  A small plastic rod was inserted into the hole with a drop of superglue and model glue mixed together.  Holds perfectly.  Gives my ant colony some royalty.

Them Return

Time passes and Them go back to their nest.

The desert returns to normal.

When Them return, the Indians are few but now the White men are in the desert.

They use their guns to try and fight Them.

They use their horses to out run them.

Them is a powerful enemy and even guns and horses cannot defeat.

Indians and Them!

The Medicine Man stayed long enough to see there were many hundreds, even thousands of Them!

They spread out across the land like a black lighting strike.

Vast numbers of death on six legs.

He had to get word back to the tribe to move away quickly.

He knew this was destruction, coming for everyone and everything.
