This is a resin model.
It is based on a slush cast model that had a big gun in the rear, that was heavily damaged.
I modified it so that it can serve instead as an ammo re-supply vehicle.
The wheels are resin cast.
It is a very modern and streamlined armored car.
Another vehicle for my 1938 US Army.

Tim Mee Armored Car and Troops
My friend Clarence sent me this.
Thanks Clarence!
It's a very sturdy toy, I like that.
Classic Tim Mee 60mm figures.
My three favorite poses, the man with a pistol, the standing firing rifleman, and the man with the bayonet.
Thanks Clarence!

Armored Car
XM-808 Lockheed Twister inspired this classic Tim Mee armored car.
It's a great toy.
It's very sturdy.
It has a trailer hitch so it can tow the Tim Mee cannon.
And a fully rotating turret.

Matchbox Armored Car
Matchbox Armored Car.
I like armored cars.
I think they are great for playing cops and robbers games.
And even for playing terrorist games too.
This is a pretty cool looking vehicle.
In the old days it was not uncommon for armored cars to have two axles and 8 tires on the back wheels.
Carrying a truck load of coins was heavy work.

More Armored Car
Matchbox Armored Car. The artwork is great but it needs some front and rear end touch up.
It's nice that they make some effort on these vehicles to detail the bottom at least a little.
The top is very plain.
3/4 view is great I think.
The basic design has been the same for decades, and earlier ones the body was on a different front end but that would be an easy conversion I think.
James Bond, armored car guard.

Gun Armed Trucks
Another slush cast armored car.
More like a pick up truck with a cannon.
One driver and one shooter.
These are interesting vehicles, I think.
Sometimes they are solid tan and other times they are camouflage.
Larger vehicles get larger size crewmen.
Smallest vehicle has crewmen about 32mm size, so too large for 1/72nd scale, biggest is about 45mm or so.

Armored Cars
I love these old slush cast toys.
Made as long ago as the 1930's.
Like this one they are often fantastical vehicles.
They were made by a variety of companies.
As toys they were often as small as 1/72nd scale and as large as 70mm.
I have picked up a few of the larger ones, like these, just for display.
They are always very exciting and full of life.
If I was around in the 1930s I certainly would have gotten a bunch of these wonderful toys.

Armored Cars
One thing I can't pass up is a nice armored car.
So many wargame uses for them.
They can be repainted as SWAT team vehicles.
Or can be left as is to play cops and robbers wargames.
Or they can be used to pay a military game, put the terrorists in several armored cars to attack a military base, maybe under the guise of military payroll.
Or attack the armored cars to get the military payroll and have military police respond.
At any give moment most military bases don't have that many armed people on them.
Or perhaps evacuating the jewels / cash / art treasures / antiquities from the war zone.
