The Ascent

Got to get the treasure chest.

Now they pull me up.

The exhausted diver lays on the pier.

The treasure chest is visible.

The water is very clear, with so few ships in the harbor the bottom does not get stirred up.

Now to pick up the chest and get back with it.

Underwater the chest is not too heavy.

Now they pull GI Joe Action Sailor Deep Sea Diver back up!

Diving the Depths

The diver is lowered into the water.

He is alongside the pier.

Looking up the support team seems so far away.

The dive is not very deep but it seems like a new world.

The men above appear so distant.

But they are up their to keep GI Joe Action Sailor Deep Sea Diver in action.

GI Joe Action Sailor Deep Sea Diver

When the Navy and civilians evacuated this island to escape the Japanese invasion, lots of valuables got dumped into the sea.

Now that the island has been secure, it's time to reclaim what when into the ocean.

A safety raft is launched in order to assist in an emergency.

The map is checked one final time.

The diver is ready.

Time to close the hatch.

Making the Computer Room

To make the computer room I scoured the Internet to find photos of electronic equipment.

I downloaded some computer photos and printed them out.  Cut them to shape and used white glue to glue them side by side on a piece of foamcore board.

The wall paper was downloaded and printed then glued onto cardboard, along with the electronic modules.

The whole thing is taped or glued or clipped onto a cardboard presentation board and a couple empty boxes so it will stand up and the floor will look nice.

Each of the walls are at least 14 inches high to give some space above GI Joes head and Robby too.  Total cost of the "set" was probably $2, and I think it worked out pretty well.  It's going into storage and will be re-used for other projects.

Computer Gear

The computer room is a crowded and busy place on board ship.

Then you add a crewmember as large as Robby its even more crowded.

The Chief keeps his men and machines busy.

The latest and most up to date computer gear is in this room.

It requires skilled operators.

Robby shows his shipmates some new calculations.

Robby answers some questions posed by his shipmates.

The tough assignment was done in record time.

Now a new shipmate is on board.

Introductions.

And maybe a little programming.

Now we know why the project was a secret!

GI Joe Computer Processing

The men begin the data processing.

Not every assignment involves immediate physical danger.

But this is the Navy and there is always an element of danger involved.

The computer is processing the data.

Chief I think this is the answer you have been looking for.

We will have an armed Shore Patrol here whenever anyone is working on the project.
