Batman Vehicles

Batmobile from the TV series Batman.  They only used one vehicle in the TV show but it was modified a few times.  At the first it was painted flat black.  Over time they added a cutter to the front of the car.  And they also changed up the pin striping color and locations.  Hot Wheels has made dozens of variations of this vehicle, in a couple sizes.  All the 1/64th scale versions will interchange the interior, wheels, body, and window glass.  They are easy to take apart and easy to put back together if you want to swap parts.  This one was taken apart and given a different body version.

Jada Batcycle, one of two versions.  The first was a Harley-Davidson motorcycle with sidecar.  This one is a Yamaha with sidecar that carries a dismountable go cart.

Batboat was made about the same time as the Batmobile and there was no real coordination between the car and boat makers. So the boat came out blue and white while the car is black.  Model by Hot Wheels.

The last TV show vehicle is the Batcopter.  It is a real flying helicopter modified with a special paint job and bat wings.  The helicopter still exists and still flies.  The FAA made them take the wings off however, because it reduced lift too much.  Still pretty cool that it still exists.  This is by Hot Wheels and can be modified to a large number of other versions, mostly by removing the wings, which is simple, and repainting.
 

Batmobiles

Hot Wheels makes the Batmobile from the Batman TV show, in many different color variations.

The vast majority of them have the same parts, but some have nicer wheels; rubber with threads, and these typically cost a little more.

I often buy multiples of them at Wal-Mart and then disassemble them, and strip the paint off of them.

This one has had that work done.

Now I have a bench buffer and this Batmobile has been shined up.

I am trying to make the surface nice and smooth so that when I repaint them the paint will lay down on a smooth surface.

You can see how much nicer one the top one is after being buffed.

I have several uses for these, and I am not certain what specific paint jobs these will get.
 

Bat Gyro

I found this on eBay a couple months ago.

Not too expensive and it is in great condition.

Looks easy to assemble.

Instructions are good.

Should be a piece of cake.

I like good instructions.

The main body.  Thing on the left is a screwdriver.

All the parts.  Might be a while before I put it together, I have several other Batman things in the queue.
 

Lifeguard

Hot Wheels Lifeguard truck.

They call it Surf Duty.

Part of several projects I am working on.

One is American Cities.  Many cities have beaches and provide lifeguard services to keep the swimmers safe.

Many lifeguards have a form of law enforcement status and enforce the law on the beach.

They also provide search and rescue, and significant first aid.

Having a mobile command post helps them bring equipment to the scene of the event.

This also meshes with my Batman vs Joker plan, and my War of the Worlds plan, as the Martians are know to go wading in their tripod war machines.
 

Cars for Batman

A Tootsietoy die cast car.

The new Matchbox car version.

The Tootsietoy is decades old and the Matchbox is new.

I think the red car would be a great vehicle for young Dick Grayson to drive.

The flashy yellow car would be perfect for playboy Millionaire Bruce Wayne.

This is a very nice car model, look at the grill!

The pipes on the engine are good details too.

Nice boat style body.

The top up is a nice touch too.

 

Surfing

Surfs up at Gotham Point.

And all the local surfers are shaping up...

For the upcoming surfing world championship.

Looks like everyone is just about here.

All the cool cars are in town.

Deora III

Hot Wheels Deora III.

The Deora original was one of the first Hot Wheels cars.

In real life is it a real vehicle, and so is the Deora II.

Now we have the Deora III which is more open than the other two.

It is part of my surfing project.

Batman vs Joker to see who wins control of the surfers of Gotham City.

In the 1960s there were an estimated 40,000 surfers in California.

Who knows how many were in Gotham City?

So a battle for control of that group was important indeed!
