That old Airfix Sheriff of Nottingham Castle sure could have used a few horror elements.Just tossing in a vampire or werewolf makes it a whole lot spookier.I think a fun project would be to get 8 to 12 of them and make higher walls, and a bigger castle. Paint it in a dark and foreboding paint scheme. Add a few Dark Alliance figures. And I think you would have something pretty cool. These guys really seem at home here.Someone could paint up these figures and really bring them to life.I likely won't get to that any time soon.Still they are pretty cool even unpainted, I think.

What Good are Werewolf Figures?
These two people are not werewolves. The woman is useful for any period where women wear pants, from the Old West until now. The man is useful for the same time frame, and I think I will trim down his weapon and make it into a long barrel revolver. Here are all the werewolf poses together, you get four of each.Naturally these can be used for classic horror creatures; but also for science fiction monsters created by man or space aliens.I already have some "dog people" that I use for space adventures.
Near the end of WWII the Germans had a plan for stay behind forces to continue to fight in the manner of the French and Soviet resistance. It was called Operation Werewolf. Some horror writers take the name literally and so it can be an interesting idea to have late WWII Nazi werewolves, with or without the guns, uniforms, or helmets. I already made a few of those kinds of figures using Esci WWII Germans figures bodies and Twilight Creations Zombie Dogs heads. Some of these guys will likely end up supporting that effort.

Why Does It Smell Like a Wet Dog in Here?
These figures have a tiny bit of flash, and some of the bases are a bit wonky. But a little bending and the bases can be okay. The werewolves are very lively and animated.I think the base on this one may even be a bit of a benefit!I like that they include a pose on all fours.

There Wolf
Dark Alliance Vampires are now followed by their new set of Werewolves! Here is the back of the Vampire box. It is part of a new series of horror related figures. They are 1/72nd scale and comprise a variety of different vampire types. Most are based on movies such as the Universal Studies original Dracula, Von Helsing, and the old Nosferatu silent movie. Now they have produced werewolves. This is the sprue for them. It includes to human figures. They look a bit like people from the Von Helsing movie from a few years ago.The werewolves are several different types. This first type is very dog like and generally naked of human clothing.

Dark Alliance WereWolves and Vampires
New 1/72nd scale horror figures from Dark Alliance.Vampires and WereWolves, very nicely done. The figures come on a little wheel like this, with one of each figure pose on each wheel. Nosferatu types and Count Dracula types. Very.... interesting.WereWolves in this view. They are both human types and dog / wolf type figures. So they can be men who turn into wolves but still walk upright like a man, like the Universal Monsters, or the type that walks on all fours. The set containes two WereWolf hunters also which is a nice extra.

Werewolves in the Wehrmacht
I really liked how these turned out.
My plan now is to make a platoon of them.
Bazooka operator.
The radio operator.
The whole squad.
The human and canine officers.

Werewolf Germans
The Esci WWII Infantry is a great set.
I have about 5,000 of them in green and gray plastic.
They are my primary WWII German set. I put this figure on a base as it makes it easier for him to stand up, particularly on carpet or other uneven surfaces.
While the wolf head seem a little big their necks are the same size almost the same size as the human neck.
My plan was to make just a few of them, perhaps just a squad of them.
I put the mortar guy on a base too, also to make the stand up better. The big wolf head does not seem to have changed the ability of the figures to stand up. I added the bases to figures that did not stand up well in the originals.

Dog Soldiers
The Dog Soldiers retreat to their craft.
Gradually keeping up the fire.
A few of their pack members disembark and lay down more fire.
The commander barks commands.
They leave and never return, or do they?
