STZ-3 Tractor

The STZ tractor made in the Soviet Union in the mid-1930s.  This is a 3d printed HO scale model
They were agricultural tractors but due to the war situation hundreds were shipped off to the front.
The 122mm D30 howitzer was often towed by this tractor.
These are 3D printed models that are sold by Fidelis Models under the name "Filament Fighters."
Enclosed cabs were necessary due to the extreme cold in the Soviet Union.
Many of these were captured by the Germans early in the war and pressed into service with their forces.

MOFOS Again

This guy looked to me like Daft Punk in the Tron remake.

Two handguns and a helmet.

Ski mask and a broom handle Mauser.

He also has a small rod in his left hand, could be anything from a rolled up piece of paper to a pipe.

Five poses in the set, this one is the only female.

This is also the only figure with an edged weapon.

Tank Infantry Teams in the Attack

Tanks and infantry cover one another in the approach to the built up area.

Infantry ahead, beside and the behind the tank watch for enemy infantry and anti-tank weapons.  Don't stand directly in front of the friendly tank in case it fires it's machine gun or main cannon.

Infantry can use grenades to clear a room.

Officers should lead from the front so they can respond to a changing circumstance.

Tanks should be deployed in depth to maintain momentum when one is disabled.

Russian Tanks in the City

When assaulting a built up area, tank & infantry cooperation is essential.

The tanks need the eyes of the infantry.

The infantry need the firepower of the tanks.

The infantry need plenty of submachine guns and grenades.

The tanks are vulnerable on their own.

Rusty Russian

Running Russian Recast in Rust.

This is the group of figures, each pose.

You can see it includes a wounded man that I did not photograph separately.

The charging Russian is very similar in pose to the charging Japanese.

Which brings us to the next set, the WWII Japanese.

These are similar to the Marx Russians, these are Marx Japanese, recast by BMC.

BMC Russian Soldiers

BMC through Victory Buy has recast the old Marx Soviet Russian Soldiers.

They are 54mm size.

The grenade thrower.

The butt stroke man.

They are molded in a nice rust color and are flash free.

A great set.

Pegasus Russian Mortar Set

This is a stack of sprue from the Pegasus WWII Russian Mortar set.  You get two 82mm mortars and four 120mm mortars and crews and extra ammo boxes.

This is twenty sets.  I have been buying them for a few years and now it's time to cut them off the sprue and glue the troops and mortars together.  I am cutting the mortars off first and putting the parts in a box.  Then comes the troops, I am doing them one pose at a time, cut it off, glue it together and then the same pose on the next sprue.  That way I become an expert on each pose and I get faster and better as I go along.  This is a rather hard soft plastic but it takes glue very well.  I am using Model Master Model Cement.  Works great!

Red Army Medical Troops

1/72nd scale Soviet WWII medics, with stretcher.  The nurse is supposed to go on this base, but I used a bit of sprue to give her her own base.

My WWII Soviet Red Army medical support is poor, so this set really fills a big need for me.

The nurse fits on the big base despite having her own homemade base.

It's a good set, I got a couple of them and intend to get a few more.
