Combat Robots

Just before take off is the critical stage.

Aliens can hijack the ship, so the combat robots are deployed.

They bring heavy weapons on an all terrain platform.

The scene gets hazy as the blur drive starts up.

The world turns white and fuzzy as the ship takes off!

Artillery Command Post

This sideways view of another Soviet command post lets you see down the ditch part.

Close up on some wire roll and other gear.

Radios and batteries.  This is for an artillery unit.

The board will have the unit ID painted on it, maybe a map too.

The Army of Latveria

Dr. Doom is the Prince of the nation of Latveria.  As such he has a small army that protects his small nation.

I have been building up a few troops for that army.

This cannon is from Eagle Games, but I have replaced the wooden wagon wheels with rubber tires.

I converted it from a muzzle loader to a breech loader.

The troops are Napoleonic British and French from Emhar, Pegasus WWII Soviets from several sets.

Every figure has had his head cut off and replaced by one of the other figures.  The French got British or Russian heads, the British got French and Russian heads, and the Russians got British and French heads.  A very small number of the Russians kept helmets and there are a few other figures tossed into the mix.

I visited my friend Larry at Pegasus Hobbies.

The building is built to simulate an airport.

It's one of the few purpose built hobby shops.

They had the new Mars Lander in 1/32nd scale.

It comes with several figures.

It's a big heavy piece of plastic.

It has a detailed interior.
