Erikenstein Rod

This looks  like a great, tough vehicle.

Erikenstein Rod is a Hot Wheels designed hot rod truck.

It is not a real vehicle, it just exists as a model.

It is a really tough vehicle.

I might use it as a Batman Villain vehicle.

Or it might become a rat rod.

Or maybe some other criminal gang vehicle.

The vehicle certainly is not meant to carry boxes.

It's not the most aerodynamic of vehicles.

But it looks cool.

Salt Flat

Here is an actual Salt Flat car.

It is a great model I think.

Very sleek.

Good markings, and notice the bubble for the driver.

The markings are very bold.

A good looking car.
 

Speed Racing

This rather goofy vehicle is from the Cars series.

It is based on real vehicles, however.  I got it as part of my auto racing project and I have a few different speed record type vehicles.

The Bonneville Salt Flats is a place where for over 100 years land vehicles were tested for their speed.

Land speed records have been set there by a number of different kind of vehicles.

Typically, they are long, narrow vehicles, often with various fins, not unlike this model.

This vehicle has a parachute at the back to slow the vehicle at the end of the run.

From this view, without the googlie eyes the model looks much better.

I may do something with the eyes, but I have not decided yet.

The underside is interesting but not authentic.

The top is pretty good and it has an interesting shape.

Mr. Freeze or Spider-Man Van?

While this is a great van, it's not really what I want.

Hot Wheels and others make some decent Spider-Man vehicles so I don't see a need for any more Spider-Man vehicles.

Nice graphics but the pink legs are rather weird.

Good detail on the roof.

Underside is rather plain.

So what to do with this van?  I am going to change it up to an ice cream truck for Mr. Freeze.

In at least one episode of Batman TV show Mr. Freeze operates a large ice cream van.

So my plan is to strip off the paint, and repaint it to go with my fleet of Mr. Freeze vehicles.

I already have several Mr. Freeze vehicles and a large number of henchmen.  So this van will be a good addition to that fleet.
 

Spider Van

Hot Wheels makes this extra fancy Spider-Man van.

It is one of their upscale vehicles that has a better paint job, and more metal than usual.

The graphics on the side are very nice too.

As a better quality van, it has graphics on all four sides.

Which means we have a nice front and rear as well as nice sides.

 The body is metal and that's a lot of metal in a Hot Wheels car.
