OHMSS Female Figures

This link shows a trailer for the James Bond movie On Her Majesty's Secret Service.  I am working on several figures for that movie, in 1/72nd scale.  These are the girls who are part of the villains plan to spread biological warfare agents.  But they are just innocent pawns of the bad guys plan.

I got a bunch of inexpensive plastic figures sold for model railroads and architectural models.

I am using craft paints because they are inexpensive and I don't have a lot of bright colors in my collection.

The twelve girls are from all over the world.

The villain expects to send them back home to spread biological diseases.

The figure set only has a few poses and so I have made minor modifications to some of them.

The white plastic male figure is Blofeld, the Bond Villain.

Several of these figures have been cut in half to make more poses.

Not much head swapping however, by painting hair length can be extended or made shorter.

The white plastic female figure on the right is Blofelds Moll, Irma Bunt.  Still a lot of painting to do before they are done.
 

More Snow Villain Photos

Airfix German Mountain Troops and Airfix WWII German Infantry.

Some of the Mountain Troops donated their heads and they were transferred to the German troops.

They look pretty good on the regular infantry.

Blofeld, the villain.  Generic civilian hard plastic figure with a new head and skis from the Revell Siberian Infantry set.

Ski poles are wire and plastic discs.

Always glue down the ski poles for added support if the pose will allow it.  James Bond from OHMSS

For the three "named" figures I went with a thinner base but I think the thick plastic base is more durable.

Matchbox Wing Chiller, aerosan type vehicle.

I repainted these from the orange scheme of the original and repainted them in a white camouflage.  I think the original blue window glass is perfect.  These are also certainly to serve some Bond type villain.
 

Henchmen

Atlantic Italian Mountain Troops with new headgear and a new rifle for the guy on the left.

Airfix WWII German Mountain Troops mounted on small thick bases.

The thick plastic base is less likely to flex than a thin base and will hold the skis flatter.  The figures seem to stay on the skis better because the join is were the flex point is on the skis.

Simple head swaps and new paint jobs to make these work for Blofelds henchmen in the James Bond movie On Her Majesty's Secret Service.  I am sure they will serve other villainous masters as well.
 

Snow Scenes

Far enough away to slow but not far enough to stop.

The henchmen grow fatigued and slow down a bit.

Blofeld is not pleased.

He urges them forward and faster.

They pick up the pace.

I did a screen capture of Piz Gloria and printed it on several sheets of paper to be large enough to use as a background piece.  Then cut the photo out of the paper and using a replaceable type glue, a stick glue that allows the paper to be removed and put back on, like a post it note, I stuck the photo to a piece of sky wallpaper.  I set a couple 4x4 feet boards on my outdoor table and waited for snow.  We got about one inch of snow and that was enough for photos.  MRS Bunkermeister held the photo backdrop in place while I took the pictures.  This is the first time I have used this specific technique and I think it worked pretty well.
 

The Chase Continues

The henchmen are expert skiers.

Still on their skis the henchmen stop to fire at Bond and Teresa.

The pair seem to be increasing their lead a bit.

But not far enough to outrun a bullet.
