SS Dollar Tree

A small fishing boat I got at Dollar Tree a while back.  Not a bad paint job.

Only a few inches long but about 1/72nd scale, more or less.

Lots of anchor chain, probably more than necessary for a little fishing boat like this.

Big net on the back.

Bottom of the boat with the price sticker removed, needs a little glue scraping.

Top view.  I did not get a fleet of these but it is a nice sturdy, resin model, one piece.  I will likely tidy it up a little before it sees service.
 

Unimog Truck

Hot Wheels Unimog truck.

It's a rescue vehicle.

It has lots of gear in the back.

Big tires to go in the snow and mud.

I will repaint it for the GI Joe Adventure Team.

It is a very cool vehicle and ordinarily one I would not get, since it is not military.

That's what I like about the Adventure Team they are not specifically military.  It will need to be disassembled and repainted.

My intent is that they are a special operations team that performs both covert and overt missions with members assigned for the eight uniformed services of the United States.

Army, Navy, Marines, Air Force, Coast Guard, Space Force, Public Health Service, National Oceanographic and Atmospheric Administration are all uniformed services of the United States and qualify for protection under the Geneva Conventions.
 

Adventure Team

Why would the Adventure Team need a paramedic ambulance?

I want to make the Adventure Team training site and so tough training leads to injuries.

Also the Public Health Service is one of the uniformed services of the United States.

So I think they could be included as part of the Adventure Team, at least as the medical personnel.

Rescue Truck

This paramedic truck I got for use with my Adventure Team.

Since it's already yellow, I may not repaint it.

If I repaint it the rescue decals will be lost and they are pretty good I think.

I am considering maybe just repainting the hood and putting a big Adventure Team logo on that.

Or maybe each door too.
 

GI Joe Adventure Team in Small Size

GI Joe Adventure Team was a group of men who participated in various manly adventures all over the world from pole to pole from ocean depth, to mountain top.

I saw a guy had taken a few Matchbox cars and painted and decalled them like the big 12 inch GI Joe vehicles.

I think that was a brilliant idea and so I gathered up some old and new Matchbox and other vehicles to convert to make my own little size Adventure Team. 
 

Armored Car

My Adventure Team armored car is moving along.

They yellow paint and new wheels and axles have been installed.

The wheels turned out pretty good, not much clearance on the back wheel but that's were the axle holes place them.

A rather odd looking turret.

Shape not unlike the US M60A1 tank.

I am calling it a low pressure 76mm gun like the Saladin armored car.  The hull does look a lot like the Saracen APC.  Still need to paint the tires and add the decals.
 

Wall-E

I got this Wall-E from Dollar Tree for a $1.

It will be assigned to my GI Joe Adventure Team.

But first the base has got to go.

It's already yellow but I will repaint it anyway so it will be more uniform with the other Adventure Team vehicles.

Also the base has to go.

I also have other plans for a couple of them.

It's a pretty good model.

Base is a glued on part and it pried off pretty easy.
 

Trailer

This is the trailer that came with the Dollar Tree trailer.

I was hoping to get a few of them but they only had the one.

Not a bad little trailer.

Pile of snow is not very helpful.

Bottom is similar to the pick up truck.

Snow has to go.

 I pried it off and it left a big ragged hole.
