Imperial Godzilla

This is the Imperial Toys Godzilla monster from about 1965.
He is 13 inches tall.
And 14 inches long.  He has arms and legs that move but not the head, jaws, or tail, which is fine.
The paint job is pretty good for a 60 year old toy.
Imperial Made in Hong Kong.
1965 Toho Co, LTD.

I want a Godzilla figure, of the 1954 Godzilla, that is comparable to this one.  Minimal articulation, and at least 24 inches tall.  Figure companies keep making more and more Godzilla figures but they are often ridiculous, have multiple parts, multiple heads, alternate hands, all of which runs up the price and provides rather limited value, in my opinion.

We need a 24 inch tall 1954 Godzilla that costs less than $250 dollars, is strong, reasonably detailed, and has good play value.  I am waiting for one that will fill the last major hole in my collection of movie monsters.

Godzilla and Monster and Car

Godzilla study group, and the military Godzilla response team vehicle.
And Godzilla too!
Mr. G looks them over.

Godzilla Car

Japanese police car and sort of Godzilla funny car.
Here is a Nissan car with actual Godzilla graphics.
My plan is to use this as a car for organizations that monitor and study Godzilla.
The red marking is Godzilla in Japanese.
It's a rather generic looking car other wise.
But I do like the Godzilla picture and the big claw marks too.
Hot Wheels were getting pretty shabby for a few years but now the graphics are improving with sides and rear on this car.
Top view.
Minimal underbody detail.
Funny car and Godzilla car.

Monster Funny Car

A Hot Wheels police car.
Since I am doing several national capitals, and Tokyo is one of them it seems like a good idea to have police cars for them.
Since having Godzilla models, having contemporary police seems a good idea.
This car is not specifically Godzilla themed but it does look a bit like him.
Under all that paint is it's a Mustang.
Some of the Godzilla movies have public or private organizations that study Godzilla.
Perhaps being able to drive 300 miles per hour could be an advantage if Godzilla were nearby.
It is an interesting paint scheme.
And the wheelie bar on the back is a nice touch.
Not sure what the V signifies.
The silver tires are interesting.

Godzilla Car

Recently Hot Wheels have done several cars with a Japanese theme, and several with Godzilla specifically.
Like this one.
The red is the word Godzilla in Japanese.
I think it is a nice looking little car with excellent markings.
I picked up a couple of these and they will make up my Godzilla research council.
Lord Death Man is a Batman foe who in the Batman 66 vs Godzilla (an unauthorized 3 part comic that only got two parts printed) he controlled Godzilla for a while.
So this car could be one of his, or it could be those who oppose him.
Still a useful vehicle I think, either way.
Goes well with dragster.

Japanese Police, Drag Racing, Godzilla

Japanese police car by Hot Wheels.  One of my projects is to do capital cities for the major nations who fought in WWII.  While I would like to do all of them I am doing Washington, D.C., London, Berlin, Paris, Moscow, and Tokyo.
I am extending those cities forward and backward to the 21st Century and WWI.
They are mostly going to be like a movie set, so Moscow which is essentially finished, is just Red Square, the rest of the city won't be modeled as such, I will just use generic 20th Century buildings to represent the regular city.
One of the reasons to do Tokyo, is of course, Godzilla.
While this Mustang funny car is not specifically Godzilla....
It does has a lot of Godzilla vibe going for it, look at the door just below the lower left edge of the window.
It's a pretty cool car and will likely face the Big G at some point.
In several of the Godzilla movies there are public and private organizations who study Godzilla.
So having a car with high speed and massive acceleration might be a good idea.
And it's just a cool car, I think.
Nice wheelie bar on the back.
No drag racing in Tokyo.
