Reptile Toys

I like to shop the pet department for terrain.
Ancient Egypt used the Sphinx a lot more than just the giant one tourists go visit.
So having models of smaller ones can be useful.  This pet toy is for lizards.
Add a few palm trees and some beach sand and you have a quick set up of tourists visiting a sphinx.
It is nicely detailed all around.

Race and James

The bridge is a dollar store item.  Figure is a cheap bulk figure from Amazon, painted as Race Bannon.
James Bond in his signature blue suit.
After parking his car near the hut.
James and Race monitor the people in the park.
Race is armed with an AR-10.
A custom rifle in a heavy caliber.

Tiki Terrain

It does not take much to create a nice little scene if you start with a few trees.
Add a rock formation, bridge, hut, and tiki and you have something there.
This is for my Batman Villain The Tiki.
The tiki was cast from an ice cube mold!  I painted it and added little fake jewels.
I made a number of these and painted them differently for several uses.  They are resin.
The little hut is from the dollar store, I cut the bottom off to make the counter lower.

Palm Trees

I got some palm trees from Amazon.
About 35 years ago I got a bunch of cheap palm trees but recently they have started crumbling.
These are taller than my old ones and are double trees.
It's a nice pack of trees.
They are all the same.
But palm trees don't vary much.
They don't all stand up easily but I will likely add bases to them.

Cheap Terrain

This is a little aquarium decoration piece.
It's a little taller than 3 inches.
I like that it is painted and ready to go.
Having the flat surfaces makes it good for 1/72nd scale troops to stand on.
This is painted in a forest or at least temperate zone scheme.
It has a couple holes in it which I like a lot.
Being terrain, it works well for any era, from cave men, to space men.
By having the holes in the piece, it allows troops to move though the terrain to attack or escape.
It would work well in deserts and at the shoreline.
The top done is pretty cool too.

Hedges, House and Her Majesty's Secret Service

Hobby Lobby sometimes has some interesting terrain items,

This is a collection of hedges and bushes, in HO scale.

I got this little house at the dollar store.  It needed a little repainting but turned out okay.

Not bad for a couple bucks, note the upstairs window and window box are not painted at all!

The ends of these little buildings often don't get painted.

But I use the cheapest dollar store paints on them and they are economical and durable.

They work fine for background buildings.

They are seasonal and seldom do they have the same ones two years in a row.

No one is home so he returns to his DB5.

This bit of terrain has many possible uses.
