Other Stuff

Recently I cast up some of these bones in resin.  The one on the left was not weathered and the one on the right has been weathered.  Enlarge the photo to see the detail.

MRS Bunkermeister and I watched the DVDs for Buck Rogers in the 25th Century.  It's a science fiction TV series from the 1970's.  While some of it is dated, it's a pretty good show.  It has a number of good scenarios for science fiction gaming.  It was done by the same people who did the original Battlestar Galactica and so you will recognize some of the bits.

In the show, they have some minor land combat, lots of space combat, and lots of space exploration.  There are many figures available in 28mm and some in 15mm.  There used to be a Buck Rogers board game that used plastic figures that are just about 1/72nd scale, maybe a bit larger.  I managed to pick some up at a surplus store years ago.  They still show up on eBay and they also had small plastic space ships about the size of a large coin.

I STILL have my model of the Buck Rgers Star-fighter from that era...built, painted and in ONE piece on the stand...after all these years.
I should send some pictures to 'ya.

(It's yellowing with age, but the "light sand" color looks cool)

It appears to be close to a 1/48th scale, however.
(when you put it aside a P-51B)

Carry on.

I always liked their fighter design.
