HaT Colonial Highlanders

As part of their massive commitment to British Colonial, HaT have just released their 1/72nd scale Colonial Highlanders. These are some of the figures Airfix should have done back in the 1960s.

These figures are sculpted in the same nice size and style as their other British Colonial series. You get four sprues just like this one.

These line drawings show the figures quite well. You get four of everything. There are no specialized troops other than the Piper.

The poses are generally good action poses with plenty of shooting and advancing. There is also one marching figure pose.

Note the tiny hatch marks on the kilt. For those of you who paint, this would make it easy to paint the plaid. This is a great set, more photos later.

They do look like very nice figures. I didn't think this was your era though, although the look of these is almost enough to tempt me into making it one of mine.

Cheers

It was not my era. But HaT made such nice Colonial War troops I just had to start buying them. And the movies are very cool. Khartom, 55 Days at Peking, Lives of a Bengal Lancer, and Gunga Din.
