Thanks Ed Bettina Berg

The foot infantry approaches the rain swollen stream.

They use the radio to keep the main body of troops informed.

The troops spread out to prevent mass casualties in the event of artillery attack.

The main party arrives and General Patton and Vice-president Nixon dismount from their Jeep.

The infantry scouts have identified a good spot for a river crossing.

The bridge launcher moves forward.

The men and even a Weasel stand by on overwatch at the crossing point.

The Weasel has a large rocket launcher and can deliver direct fire against enemy on the other side of the river.

The Armored Vehicle Launched Bridge deploys the bridge.

Vice-president Nixon and General Patton look on approvingly.

The Armored Vehicle moves back from the deployed bridge.

The anti-aircraft rocket launcher stands by to protect the bridge from enemy air attack.

Mike:
Always good to see some nice classic MPC vehicles.
(can't say I recall the bridge-layer, but that is very cool)

Carry on.

Yes, G, the bridge layer is new to me too, Ed Berg, the master of MPC, had one for me and I snapped it up in a flash. He made this series possible.

Glad ya liked the stuff Mike! The bridge launcher works great with these vehicles but the vehicles in the set it originally came in were actually much larger. I won't collect those - outside of my collecting comfort zone :-)

Thank you Ed for the bridge launcher, it's a lot of fun. A couple binder clips on the bottom in the hinge area clips the two parts together!
