Bridge Crossing Against Enemy Opposition
The anti-aircraft missiles protect the bridge launch site.
The Jeep has a radar trailer to search for enemy aircraft.
Crossing a river is one of the most difficult military operations.
They are vulnerable to air attack,
And ground attack.
It only takes one hit, even a close hit to stop the operation.
The troops cross the bridge.
Trucks begin to cross the bridge.
It's important to manage traffic so the bridge site does not have a build up of vehicles that makes a good target. Vice-president Nixon and General Patton and other generals watch the crossing.
