Place these items in still another context and they provide tremendous play value. Action Fleet Star Ship Troopers figures with the Matchbox vehicles. 
Troops hunker down in the bunker and deliver devastating fire on the bugs.
The Starship Troopers heavy weapons fit nicely in the small bunker, overhead cover provides good protection from bugs.
Tanks are almost imperious to bugs and are great support for the ground pounders.
The hyper cannon uses electrical impulses to fire at the bugs, the generator truck provides recharges or can power it directly. This gives them unlimited firepower and it only needs a crew of one.
