Roco Tiger II

Late in WWII the Germans were using a red brown primer on their vehicles.

As I understand it they sometimes did not fully paint vehicles at the factory.

And the red brown primer was flat and close to the red brown color they used in camouflage anyway.

So here is a red brown primer Tiger II.

Very late war sometimes tank crews were sent to the factory not only to pick up a new tank, since the front line was close.

But sometimes they were sent there to help finish construction of the tank.

I suppose it would mostly be fitting out the tank rather than actually welding hull parts.

Fire Truck and Gifts

This one is a little die cast fire truck.

Shown here with Santa.

It's kinda cute.

And really a great toy for some 1/72nd scale kid.

I also got gift wrapped packages.

Some with glitter.  I hate glitter, it get everywhere.

Some smaller packages with foil wrap.
 

Train

I also got a wooden train.

Already painted and ready to go.  The vertical spaces on the cars are not painted they are actually cut windows into the sides!

Comes ready to roll just like this.

It would probably work better for 60mm or even GI Joe but other the other hand an HO scale train in 1/72nd scale would probably be not much more than a piece of string.

Pretty good right out of the box.  All the kids were good this year.
