LCVP by Pegasus with HO scale 2 1/2 ton truck, too big for the LCVP, I think.

LCVP by Airfix with HO scale 2 1/2 ton truck, too big for the LCPV, I think.

Airfix poly LCM with a Heiser Models Sherman tank in HO scale. Looks good.

I think the vehicles look to small compared to the LCVP. And regarding size and weight capacity I don't think the LCVP could carry a truck and especially not a tank. The Jeeps is within it's limits.; June 25, 2024 at 12:22 AM
Legion4 said...: Yes, scales very from company to company many times ... But AFAIK the LCVP, LCM, etc. were generally only used to carry troops and/ or light vehicles/light weapons. E.g. US 37mm AT gun, Jeep, etc. ...; June 25, 2024 at 8:52 AM
Mike Bunkermeister Creek said...: Roger, the vehicles are smaller scale than the landing craft. HO 1/87 for the vehicles verses OO 1/76 and 1/72 for the landing craft.

Mike Bunkermeister Creek said...: The LCM was built in many variations and the LCM 3 was rated at 30 tons, so early production Sherman tank. But in real life probably only carried at most a Stuart and other much lighter cargoes.

The LCVP was mostly used to carry 36 troops or perhaps a Jeep and a couple troops.
