Landwasserschlepper

Military Depot Landwasserschlepper World War Two German amphibious tractor.
They entered German service in 1942 and were used in small numbers until the end of the war in both North Africa and the Eastern Front.
They had a crew of two and could carry 20 troops.
It is not armored.
This is a resin and photo-etched brass model kit in HO scale.

Cool vehicle! I can't help but notice what looks like a Panzer IV chassis.

Only the Germans would put tracks on a boat ! But I always thought it was an interesting design. And very use full at times ...

Jeff, tracks are similar to Panzer IV but not the same. The second version of this vehicle actually did use Panzer IV suspension!

Mr 4,it is one step removed from the USMC Amtracs of WWII, LVT IV for example.
