Tomy made a really great version of the initial M-60 (not the A1); that, and the Marklin 4MFOR (now Schuco) version of the Bundeswehr M-48A2G2 (updated German model of the M-48 with thermal shrouded 105mm gun) are my favorites in this series - pricy and hard to find, but really cool; heavy and detailed. Just that darned Tomy disintegrating track problem to worry about; although I replaced most of mine (I only have 6) with old tracks from airfix models
I have the Tomy M-60 turtle turret and the M-60A2 from Tomy. Very rare and hard to find, and yest those tracks were a nightmare. I substituted Roco tracks for the Tomy ones. The Tomy road wheels then when on Roco vehicles as extra stowage. Never got the Marklin because I don't do modern Germany.

A lovely model of a handsome tank. Though given the choice I'd rather skulk in a Chieftain!
One of my favorites is the M60 series. Thanks for reading Tim Gow!
