MPC Rafts and Guns
This gun is from MPC. Heavy artillery with US Army troops, by Airfix, horses by Eagle Games.
It was sold as a part to a couple different cannon sets.
I have been hoping to get a couple more but they don't seem to show up much.
So far, I have one.
One of the oldest toys in my collection is the gold raft. I remember buying them from Parks Toys on Anaheim Street, in Long Beach California in abut 1962. They and MPC are long gone.
MPC also made this three person raft in gold and blue. Never saw these as a kid, got them at a toy show.
Rafts were the same size but by adding a third button it becomes a three man raft. Note the previous owner used a BAR bipod as an anchor.
Most MPC figures have a hole in the base so they can be clipped onto the toys. I did not do this much, it often broke the base.
The rafts will actually float on top of the water because the ring around the edge is hollow, but open to the bottom. It will usually sink a bit if you add figures.
