Zvezda Paratroopers
Zvezda makes WWII Russian Paratroopers in 1/72nd scale plastic.
These troops are very similar in appearance to regular Soviet infantry.
The officer has a separate smg and it's very good.
There are only four figures in the set, which is not very many.
This guy is throwing a grenade.
It includes a prone DPM machine gunner.
I plan on buying a few sets, and supplementing them with some of the regular Zvezda Soviet troops for a small platoon. The paratroopers look very much like regular infantry and so mixing the two types will make a regular platoon into a paratrooper platoon. The Soviets did many small drops and used most of their paratroopers as regular infantry.

If you get a chance get the recon set from Zvezda. very nice also. yea and too bad you only get 4 figs.
I have the German one, but my local hobby shop has not had the Russian one, yet. It will take it's place with the paratroopers.
