Ste. Mere-Eglise Church
Monday Knight Productions, 4100 NE 104th Ave, Vancouver, WA 98682-6721 USA makes many of the old Scenic Effects line of terrain.
Recently, I got the Ste. Mere-Eglise Church from them in 1/72nd scale. It is a two piece resin model.
Seen here with some Roco Tiger I tanks, Prieser WWII German troops and Imex Alamo Accessory trees is the church in the background.
This stone church is typical of many in Western Europe, particularly France. It is a great kit with no flash and it will find it's way onto many wargames.
The movie The Longest Day shows this church with actor Red Buttons as an American Paratrooper who has his parachute stuck on the steeple. He hangs there for a long time with the bells ringing and loses his hearing. A great movie.
So go to Amazon and buy a movie and go to MKP and buy a church and play a part of the invasion of Normandy.
