Paul Heiser Models M4A3 Tank

M4A3 Sherman tank, with Ford engine.  This was the Sherman tank preferred by the US Army in WWII.

This is the Paul Heiser Models kit in HO scale.  Note the wide gun mantelet.  The kit also includes an early production narrow mantelet.  You can also swap out the Roco Sherman mantelet for the very early production version.

Note the pistol port on the side of the turret.  This was on the original tanks, then omitted during production and then put back on later as the troops liked it for tossing out expending casings.

If you don't want the pistol port use the Roco Sherman turret it will fit the Paul Heiser Models hull.

A very nice model.  Paul Heisers first model was an upper hull conversion kit for the Roco Sherman to make this version or the M4A1 cast hull Sherman.  Most of my Roco Z-202 Shermans got the upper hull conversion treatment.  The conversion kit is long out of production and was never produced commercially.
