This particular flag pole does not fit the base well, so I added a bit of tape to hold it steady.

I went on line and found some flag pictures and printed a new flag.

You can see the new flag is a little smaller, and is a 49 star flag rather than a 50 star flag.

I think the smaller flag is better proportioned to the length of the pole.  Load a flag file, copy it, flip one copy, then spread them a tiny bit apart.  Then print them out.   Print a couple practice flags until you get the right size.  I anticipate doing state flags, and regimental flags too.
