Even with horses and guns, Them is a formidable foe.
The cowboys circle around and try and get to their friend.
They fire into Them, but the bullets make little impression.
More of Them arrive on the scene.
The cowboys are worried about being surrounded.

I've read the past episode of course and it seems that Them are not the usual cattle or buffaloes that cowboys have under their guns !
Them! does make branding time a challenge.
