Chaffee

Here is a Paul Heiser Models HO 1/87th scale M-24 Chaffee light tank. This tank replaced the Stuart series at the end of World War Two and they served alongside each other from December 1944 until the end of the war. The Chaffee also served in the Korean War.

Many thousands of these tanks were exported and much of Western Europe and Japan got them. They are seen in many early Godzilla movies. It was a popular tank and served for a very long time in many armies. Often they were given new engines or new guns and there may even be some in service somewhere today.

This is a Paul Heiser Models resin kit. Resin kits are easy to assemble. This kit is the hull, two track sections, like a Roco, and a turret. I added a bow machine gun, and top turret machine gun. The last model has a small plate with red background and two white stars indicating it is the tank of an American Army Major General. Resin models use the same paints as regular models and they cut, saw and file just like regular model kits. Glue them with either Superglue or epoxy glue.

I have about 23 of these tanks and they are easy to assemble, durable and look great. The General version is for my Corp Commander vehicle. Fidelis Models sells Paul Heiser Models.
